Work Part-Time Online

by J. Hamilton Fraser on July 7, 2011

While the money that you can make from online jobs might never approach the amount that you can make from your regular day-job, doesn’t the mere prospect of earning money from your normally idle time on the internet entice you? If you know where to look, there are lots of hobbies for men and hobbies for women online that can be used to turn a profit.

For a gender-neutral job, there are some online companies and employers that pay you simply to click on advertisement, fill out simple surveys or post blog and forum comments. Other SEO (search engine optimization) companies might require you to use some social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter to advertise their products online.

If you do not like acting like a drone, then be your own boss. You might have a simple hobby such as collecting cool electronic gadgets. Set up a gallery and a blog for your gadgets online with a site such as blogspot or livejournal. The awesome thing about the interactivity of most Web 2.0 optimized pages nowadays is that it is quite easy to make money simply by having lots of good content on your website. Just add a few paid ads such as those from Google Adsense and you are ready to start receiving money simply by blogging regularly about your hobbies. Of course, you will need to set up a PayPal account first for easy payments.

Of course, some people simply work better under an employer. If you are one of these people, there are a host of easy online jobs available that might take as little as only 4 hours of your time a day. Becoming a self-employed online tutor for foreign students can be quite lucrative. Another option is to become an online virtual assistant for an SEO company. If you have the gift of gab, you could try becoming a customer service representative from home for a call center. Online jobs can be quite satisfying and profitable hobbies as long as you know where to look.
